Sure, you have just created your
very first website, you are very excited about it and you want everybody to know
about it and your email address is a great one, but wait just a second...
without your email address being encrypted or displayed as a picture, you will
probably end up getting 100 or more spam emails per day in a very short space of
time.

Don't reply to spam emails asking you to delete or "un-subscribe" your email
address because all that will happen is that a spammer will collect it and sell
it on as valid, current and active email address. |

Don't be fooled with a seemingly "innocent" yet unfamiliar email
messages about "something or other" asking you to un-subscribe from
their mailing list if you no longer wish to receive their "newsletter".
What does that tell them?
Yet again, that you are an active and responsive email address. You may get
added to a list of email addresses to sell-on. Spammers like to throw in an
innocent-looking but baited hook and see what they fish out! |
